About Us
DRK College of Engineering & Technology (DRKCET) is founded by Sri. D. B Chandra Sekhar Rao, in the year 2006, registered under DRK EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY. This institute is established, in furtherance of its objectives to fulfill the long felt educational needs of the state and nation.
DRKCET is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad and approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi, Offering three B.Tech programmes (Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering), Four M.Tech programmes and Management programmes (MBA). The college is one of the well known and reputed institutions with well qualified and highly experienced faculty. The institution started with baby steps, on the path heading towards excellence in offering technical education, crossing all the challenges and accomplishing the required criteria.
To provide the foundation and enable the students to fulfill their aspirations to become competent Engineering Professionals, College is equipped with excellent infrastructure. The college has a large, modern and spacious structure standing tall with a sprawling campus. The beautiful building comprises of two blocks, with new fangled laboratories, class rooms, seminar halls, and play ground. The campus is ornamented with lush greenery, which enhances environmental cognition among the students.

Fulfilling the core essence of above mentioned quote ,the college library is treasured with updated volumes of Text/ Reference/ Hand Books. Library subscribes more than 97 National Journals and have also large number of e-resources in the form of DVDs and CDs apart from Reports/ Theses. It is constructed with carpet area of 2610 sqm with all modern facilities. The central library is fully automated. It provides perfect reprographic facilities to students and teachers. The library is well equipped and is in sync with latest technology, a balanced combination of print and digital collection.
Engineers must have a knowledge of nature that goes beyond mere theory—knowledge that is traditionally gained in educational laboratories.
The laboratory practice has been an important part of professional and engineering undergraduate education; The laboratory is an ideal place for active learning and also Laboratory courses help them to gain insight and understanding of the real world which they learn in their theory courses and the ideas for innovations. DRKCET has designed all of its laboratories in such a way that, students Design, enhance their Creativity, develop Effective Communication and Team work .
Students have unrestricted, round-the-clock access to air-conditioned computer laboratories equipped with structured fibre optic and UTP cabling network and other relevant software. The students are privileged to have access to our state-of-the-art computer laboratories, which are home to over 500 computers (HP, LENOVA & DELL make), 04 servers, 30 printers and over 12 laptops (HP, DELL & SAMSUNG make) with a dedicated network. The Overall ratio of computers to students is nearly more than the number recommended.
